San Francisco de Asis - Rancos de Taos, NM

St. Francis of Assisi, Ranchos De Taos, NM

I have broken my right big toe at least twice, maybe 3 times. It’s not only uncomfortable, but it’s… a major inconvenience. When you are used to a reliance on something you normally don’t think twice about, and then suddenly, it’s all you think about, you wonder how you could have managed so easily to NOT think about it all those other times.  But somehow, you didn’t think about it.

More often than not, we go about our daily lives knowing the Lord is there, but not really thinking about Him too hard or too often.  He’s just… there.  And when something happens to disrupt our routine, our predictable and comfortable living, then all of a sudden, we start to really think about Him.  A lot.  And wonder why we forgot all about Him before.  We needed Him, relied on Him, expected His presence and blessings.  We knew He was working for us, we just never thought about why or how.  We went on faith.
